Getting ready to head over to Prospectors! I saw online that they do have XTU in the other bar (to the right as you enter) tonight. That always means a crowded parking lot. But we're meeting in the patio bar (on the far left when you enter). I'm hoping it's not so crowded there!

If you're looking for parking, try in the back left, sort of behind Walgreen's.

If you know a classmate whose budget can't accommodate the ticket price, please contact us. We're sure we can do something to help.

Missing Classmates

We could use some help locating some of our classmates! Some we haven't had any address for, others' invitation postcards were returned to us as undeliverable, etc. I've posted a list on the "Missing Classmates" page accessible from the tab above. 

Please look it over and see if you have contact info for anybody we're missing.

September 13th Meeting

We've been making all sorts of plans!

Deb Raroha confirmed that there are no special events at Prospectors Friday night, October 28th. We were checking into that as a place to meet up the night before. With folks coming in from out of town, we thought it might extend the festivities!

Onnie Johnson worked with the staff at RV to come up with the Homecoming Day schedule. She also came up with the wonderful idea of a Community Service Project for that day. Those of us willing to join in will help with the clean up after the parade. Candace Hill is working on getting us free tee shirts (RV Class of '76 Cleans Up) for our "uniform". See the "Homecoming Events" tab at the top of this page. Wonderfully done, Onnie!

Anne Krepacki worked out arrangements for lodging. See the "Accommodations" tab at the top of this page. A little something for everyone. Excellent job, Anne!

Sue Derickson worked out some decorations for us. She managed to incorporate autumn colors with our RV colors. Deb Raroha offered to help her put them into effect. Very nicely done, Sue!

Henry Klimkowski is working on ways to publish announcements to get the word out. 

We also discussed adding in some folks who aren't technically part of our "Class of '76". Our conclusion is if someone would like to join our party, why not? So, if a friend from a different year or school would like to join us, you are most welcome! 
As a matter of fact, we thought if any of our teachers would like to come (those few still left) we would cover the cost of their ticket. If you're in touch with any of them, please pass along their contact info to RVRHS76@gmail.com.

Fourth Meeting

My apologies for not getting my meeting notes posted. Even now I don't have them with me. I will try to summarize without my notes.
As mentioned before, we have booked with Just Between Friends Catering to have our reunion at The Links in Marlton on October 29th. Although initially we considered having it as an after dinner party, we did come to the conclusion that most would prefer to have dinner as part of the festivities. Therefore we expanded our menu to the more traditional, appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert. We are keeping the bar as a cash bar.
Our next priority is booking a DJ. We didn't have enough info to make the selection at the last meeting, so that is the priority for our next meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14th, at Beth & Andy's house again.

Third Meeting

I hope the others are having as much fun with this as I am! April 27th thirteen of us got together to try and lock in a venue and date for our reunion. In attendance were: Laura Abraham Price, Darlene Barton Ross, Sue Derickson, Ondrietta Johnson, Gil Jordan, Henry Klimkowski, Anne Krepacki, Candace Mahon Hill, Debbie Odell Raroha, Brian Scott, Wendy Harris Thomas, Beth Lemyre Wedell and Andy Wedell.

We had quite a few venues and menus to peruse. Our conversations kept coming back around to the date. Based on facility, pricing and menu we were all favoring The Mansion (surprisingly priced pretty good). However, that would mean Thanksgiving weekend. Given that we are now the "hosting generation" in many families, we decided to rule that weekend out. So, we selected The Link Country Club in Marlton (Kings Grant) and Just Between Friends Catering. They are able to give us October 29th, which is the RV Homecoming date!! We are thrilled with the additional options this gives us!!

We haven't really settled on menu yet. We'll be going over additional choices on that at our next meeting. We do seem to be leaning toward some entrée/dinner choices rather than strictly appetizers. But we seem to favor not doing a "sit down" per se. We want to keep things flowing socially more. Again, input on this point from others would greatly help in the decisions coming up. Second Meeting

Eleven of us got together April 12th to keep moving forward with our planning; Ondrietta Johnson, Henry Klimkowski, Debbie Odell Raroha, Beth Lemyre Wedell, Andy Wedell, Laura Abraham Price, Brian Scott, Candace Mahon Hill, Gil Jordan, Pat Vermehren Stellwag and Linda Neff.

Unfortunately, we only had info on a couple of venues so we weren't able to make a decision just yet. One way or another we feel we need to lock in a venue and date before anything else can proceed. With that in mind (and before available dates dwindle further) our next meeting is April 27th.
So we're kind of thinking of this as just a really big party essentially. So we thought it sounded good to allow whoever would like to come (include other class years). We also thought that a dinner isn't really key. If we start just after dinner and have appetizers to munch on and a cash bar, it would be more affordable. Please feel free to give us some feedback on this. We're trying to guess what the majority would prefer.

With this in mind, everyone is trying to collect cost figures for an appetizer with cash bar type event to start after dinner. We're also trying to find a good DJ. All suggestions are welcome but would be most helpful if pricing info comes with. 

At our next meeting on April 27th we hope to select a venue and decide on dinner/appetizers and cash/open bar. We will also begin working on addresses. Please join us if you can!

First Meeting

Seven of us got together March 8th to get things started for our 40th reunion; Darlene Barton Ross, Ondrietta Johnson, Henry Klimkowski, Debbie Odell Raroha, Wendy Harris Thomas, Beth Lemyre Wedell and Andy Wedell.

Each of us are collecting pricing info to bring to our next meeting on April 12th. We will also try to bring another classmate along. Deb Raroha will collect some DJ info and Beth Wedell will send out the class list.

At our next meeting we hope to select a venue and decide if we should open our reunion to friends from other class years. We will also begin working on addresses. Please join us if you can!
